How we hire

What we look for

We don't care about pedigree. We care about taste, intensity, and whether you've built things that mattered to you.

Arcada is a small team doing work that shapes what AI becomes good at. Everyone here has outsized influence. We're looking for people who are drawn to that kind of leverage — and who can handle it.

If you've shipped products people actually use, done research that changed how you think, or made something beautiful just because you thought it should exist — we want to talk.

The process

1

Application

We read every application ourselves. Include anything that shows how you think — a project, a blog post, a portfolio, a repo.

2

Intro conversation

15 – 30 minutes

A casual call to get to know each other. We'll ask what you're working on and what excites you. You should ask us hard questions about Arcada.

3

Technical interview

45 minutes

We take a real problem we've had to solve internally, construct a version of it, and work through it together. No AI tools besides documentation — we just want to see how you reason through something interesting.

4

Take-home

~3 hours

A focused project that reflects real work at Arcada. Use whatever tools you want — we actively encourage AI tools for speed and productivity. We measure breadth, depth of understanding, and quality of the final output.

5

In-person work trial

1 – 2 days

You'll spend time working alongside the team on a real problem. This is the best way for both sides to know if it's the right fit — you get to see how we work, and we get to see you at your best.
